H Street Country Club (1335 H Street) will be having its usual sidewalk patio during H Street Festival (September 19th) where they will be serving Dos Equis Lager, Amber, and Tecate as well as their usual drafts, bottles, and cans. There will be mariachis roaming through the crowd throughout the day! They will also be serving margaritas, tacos, and other Mexican dishes on the patio. In addition to the sidewalk patio, the main restaurant and the rooftop will be open.
DC Harvest to Do Mixed Brunch/Dinner Menu, Debut New Cocktail at H Street Festival
18 SepDC Harvest (517 H Street) will serve a blended menu that features some items from brunch and some from dinner (including a new grilled swordfish salad dish) for H Street Festival this weekend (September 19th). This menu will be served from 11 am until 5 pm when the kitchen will close for an hour before reopening to serve the dinner menu. Queen Vic Brings Back Double Decker Booze Bus for H Street Festival
18 SepThe Queen Vic (1206 H Street) will be bringing back its double decker booze bus for H Street Festival this Saturday (September 19th). The bus parks in front of the restaurant on the street and is available all day for Festival goers who want to enjoy a drink with a view (its quite the place to people watch on the second level!). They will also have their full menu as well as pork lollipops, scotch eggs, and $5 drinks.
Sally’s Middle Name to Feature Carry Out During H Street Festival
17 SepSally’s Middle Name (1320 H Street) will be featuring take out during H Street Festival this weekend (September 19th). They are going to be rearranging the interior of their restaurant to allow more standing room and will be offering $5 drink specials.
Their food menu will feature:
- wings with mambo sauce
- smoked duck bbq plate
- fried fish sandwich
- vanilla goat milk ice cream cone
Upstairs at Akae, there will be a book drive to benefit Sherwood Recreation Center.

Le Grenier to Serve Merguez Frites (French Street Sandwich) During H Street Festival
16 SepLe Grenier (502 H Street) will be serving an awesome sounding French street sandwich during H Street Festival this weekend (September 19th): the Merguez Frites. We had to look it up, but it is a spicy sausage sandwich on a baguette with fries on top. They will be serving it from 11 am to 7 pm as well as Kronenbourg beer for $3.
1305 H Street Undergoes Complete Renovation
16 Sep1305 H Street has undergone a complete renovation over the past couple of months. The building had long looked abandoned but had its interior completely redone and appears to now be partitioned into two separate units. No word on what it might become in the future but definitely an improvement from its previous condition.

16 SepSmith Commons (1245 H Street) will be featuring reduced price drinks ($5 house wine, $5 select craft beer, and $5 rail cocktails) during H Street Festival this weekend (September 19th). They will also be featuring their entire bar menu at reduced prices.
