A real estate brochure from Streetsense for an unrelated building lists All Souls Bar as “coming soon” in the Apollo Building (600 H Street, NE). The brochure is fairly new to the Streetsense site and appears to be mostly up to date with other projects in the neighborhood. All Souls is a neighborhood bar in Shaw that opened in late 2013 and has good reviews online. They allow you to bring in food or have food delivered to the bar. We’ve reached out to All Souls for comment and will update when/if we hear back. District Cuisine did a permit search and could not find any permits or evidence other than this brochure that All Souls is moving to H Street.

New Summer Cocktails at Sospeso
12 JunSospeso, 1344 H Street, NE, has rolled out several new cocktails to help diners deal with the heat of summer in the coming months. The creative and refreshing drinks are explained down below and will be available throughout the summer at Sospeso.
- Drink Your Veggies – Tequila, Carciofi Aperitivo (Don Ciccio e Figli), House Carrot-Fennel Juice, Soda, garnished with Fennel Fronds. This is an all veggie drink with blue agave distilled La Pitaya tequila, artichoke based aperitivo from Don Ciccio e Figli, and house juiced carrot and fennel.
- Mambo Americano – Campari, Sospeso Rosso Vermouth, Pineapple-Chili Syrup, Soda, garnished with a cherry pepper slice. A bitter, refreshing cocktail with a flavorful, spicy finish combining a classic drink the Americano with Rosemary Clooney’s hit Mambo Italiano.
- Yul Brynner – Rye, Spicy Ginger Syrup, Lemon Juice, Mint Like a Kentucky Mule and Mint Julep “smashed” together.
- Lampedusa – Light Rum, Creme de Violette, Lime Juice, Red Wine Float. It’s a rum sour, beautiful violet in color, with a blood red float of wine on top. Like floating from Tunisia to the little Italian island.
- Varka Sti Chios – Gin, Mastiha Liquor, Celery-Coriander Syrup. The freshest, lemon-grassiest cocktail served up in coupe. Mastiha liquor is made from the mastic trees on the Greek island of Chios, reminiscent of pickling brine and dill. You can drink 3 on your Boat To Chios (that’s what the name means).
